PT. Caraka Yasa was established in 1985 to continue DHL's discontinued City Courier Division.

Starting with City Courier, PT. Caraka Yasa then developed its Domestic Air Express capability. And only in late 1997, PT Caraka Yasa started to invest heavily in Road (Trucking) Transport which make PT Caraka Yasa the first Courier Company that provide cost effective, scheduled road transportation with services span.

PT. Caraka Yasa has established strong distribution network in Indonesia, and invested a lot in branches office, instead of agencies. Up to now, PT Caraka Yasa has 36 fully owned branch offices and another 40 agents. We believe that by investing in branch offices then we will have better control of service quality while maintaining logistic pipeline visibility, especially in a country as wide as and as challenging, in term of its logistic infrastructure, as Indonesia.

From Medan in the North to Denpasar, Makasar and Sangatta in the South and East. At the moment PT Caraka Yasa has utilized its own Shipment Tracking System, similiar to what we found only in an International Courier network company. Its continuous shipment checkpoints tracking will provide us better pipeline visibility.

The feature of our Shipment Tracking Syatem also enable us to actually manage the return of Proof Of Delivery or other shipping documents through its system. Therefore our customer can retrieve all accompanying shipping document for their disposal.

PT. Caraka Yasa is fully owned by Rudy J Pesik family, well known Indonesian businessman who also own, among others, PT. Birotika Semesta/DHL Express. Since 1999 up to now. PT Caraka Yasa also appointed as the agent for PT. Birotika Semesta/DHL Express in 18 cities in Indonesia

PT. Caraka Yasa handled approximately 3.5 million documents and packages annually. It is supported by slightly over 800 staff with 400 motorbikes 200 vehicles, big and small across the country.
